Our headquarters in Vienna brings together more than 200 colleagues, making it our largest office. Located in Euro Plaza, one of Vienna’s most modern office parks, the site is shared with our parent company, Kontron AG, fostering close collaboration within the Kontron Group.
As the center of our railway business, the Vienna headquarters plays a key role in shaping solutions for the rail market while maintaining strong alignment with all Kontron Transportation locations across Europe, including those dedicated to Public Transportation. The office is also home to one of our key labs, which plays a central role in research, development, and testing activities across the company—including work on projects such as FP-2 MORANE-2.

Kontron Transportation s.r.o., located in the beautiful city of Prague, is an important part of our international footprint with a strong focus on the railway market. The site supports customers across the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe, providing expertise in engineering, project delivery, and customer support.

Immenstaad, Germany
Our location in Germany is based in Immenstaad am Bodensee and serves as our local operational arm for the German market. With more than 40 employees on site, the team sells, implements, and supports projects with a focus on mission‑critical networks for the railway industry.
Kontron Transportation France S.A.S.
Paris, France
Our location in Montigny le Bretonneux, about 20 km southwest of Paris, is home to more than 160 employees, making it our second largest site. The office serves as a center of excellence for research and development in the railway industry and features one of our key on site labs, playing a central role in innovation, development, and testing.
As part of our global R&D organization—led from France and spanning international teams—the site contributes to a wide range of development activities across the company. Our work in France is strongly focused on advancing railway communication technologies and supporting innovation across our global R&D network.
Kontron Transportation Schweiz AG
Bern, Switzerland
Kontron Transportation Schweiz AG, formerly known as COMLAB, is headquartered in Ittigen near Bern, Switzerland, and brings more than 50 years of expertise in radio frequency technology. Founded in 1971, the site has grown into a market leader in digital communication systems for InTrain applications as well as rail and road tunnels, with all products developed and manufactured in Switzerland. With around 40 employees, the Ittigen team covers development, engineering, project management, and service from a single source and continues to drive innovation, most recently with solutions such as Menura.

Kontron Transportation Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw, Poland, was established in 2011 and today employs a small but dedicated team of 5 people. The team serves railway customers in Poland as well as the wider Eastern European region, providing local expertise and support for rail communication projects.

London, UK
Kontron Transportation UK Ltd. is based in Paddington, London—one of the city’s most vibrant and well connected business districts. The team is strongly focused on the railway market, working closely with customers and partners across the UK. Rail plays a vital role in the United Kingdom’s transport infrastructure, supporting both daily commuting and long distance travel, and the London office is well positioned to contribute to the development and delivery of reliable, future ready railway communication solutions.

Pozuelo de Alarcón, Spain
Kontron Transportation España SLU is located in the Atica business park in Pozuelo de Alarcón, a residential suburb of Madrid with excellent connectivity, including two close railway stations. With around 20 employees, the team delivers engineering, deployment, and support services tailored for the Spanish railway infrastructure administrator, ADIF, and other customers across the Western European market.

Kontron Public Transport Arce is dedicated to public transportation solutions and supports some of the country’s largest transport operators, including Madrid Metro, Renfe Viajeros (the Spanish national public rail operator), and Bilbao Metro. The team contributes to Kontron’s internationally active public transport business, which serves customers across Europe and beyond with proven, scalable systems installed in tens of thousands of vehicles and stations worldwide. It works closely with its sister locations in Belgium, Romania, and the Americas.

Aveiro and Lisbon, Portugal
Kontron Transportation Unipessoal Lda., with its two locations in Lisbon and Aveiro, is a specialized site with around 25 employees dedicated to the railway market. The team supports customers in Portugal and across Europe, contributing expertise and hands on experience to the delivery of reliable and future ready railway communication solutions.

Bucharest, Romania
Kontron Services Romania is part of Kontron’s Public Transportation business unit and works closely with sister locations in Belgium, Spain, and the Americas. The team brings strong expertise in fare collection and ticketing systems. With a large installed base in Romania—including thousands of validators and ticket vending machines—the site plays a key role in delivering modern Account Based Ticketing solutions, supporting successful implementations in cities such as Bucharest, Sibiu, Pitesti, Rovinari, Târgu Mureș, and Slobozia.
